Matthew, an advertising executive in Chicago, puts his life on pause and delays a business trip to China when he thinks he sees the love of his life, Lisa, who left him without a word two years earlier. He's convinced that she has returned, but soon finds out that Lisa has mysteriously disappeared again. Matthew is now driven to discover the truth about her disappearance and must come to terms with his own part in their relationship to truly move on.
