Former military man Luc Deveraux is the only surviving soldier of a top-secret mission that went to war with alien robots. A cybernetic enhancement technician named Jane turns Deveraux's battered remains into the perfect weapon, a cybernetic Universal Soldier, but fails to notice that Deveraux retains his sense of independent thought and consciousness despite his cyberized body.
