A young teenager named Sam Witwicky becomes entangled in the ancient battle between two extraterrestrial factions of transforming robots: the heroic Autobots and the villainous Decepticons. After discovering a strange artifact in his garage, Sam finds himself inadvertently entwined in their conflict, as he holds the key to an unimaginable power that the Decepticons will stop at nothing to acquire.
