Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel are two best friends who share nearly everything, including each other's company on their joint birthday. Their celebration turns bizarre when a rift in the earth's surface literally destroys most of the world, and transforms the remaining pieces. With the help of fellow celebrity James Franco, the group of survivors must confront their feelings of apathy toward the world and each other, in order to unite and rally against destruction.
