A geologist receives a startling phone call from Oslo, Norway, where his estranged wife and two children have moved. The caller is his daughter, and she needs his help. She and her mother are trapped beneath a building that has collapsed in an earthquake, and she is struggling to survive with limited oxygen and aftershocks that continue to crash down around her. Racing against time, the geologist struggles to find a way to get to Oslo amid the chaos of the disaster as authorities struggle to respond. He eventually decides to take matters into his own hands alongside his son, who has joined him, to try and get to his daughter before it's too late.
