Recent MIT grad Matt Franklin's (Zac Efron) life seems to be right on track, until he throws it all away to take a dead-end job at a video store. When Matt's high school crush, Tori (Michelle Trachtenberg), walks into the store, Matt realizes he needs to make some changes in his life, starting with showing Tori a real party. With the help of his twin sister and his best friend, Matt devises a plan to reinvent himself over the course of one epic night.
