Eight-year-old Deva Nanda lives in the small village of Panchalimedu in Kerala, obsessed with pilgrims visiting Sabarimala, the most revered and bustling pilgrimage sites in India. Her dreams will come true when she learns that she will finally be able to go on her long-postponed pilgrimage to Sabarimala with her mother and aunt. But when the trip is postponed yet again, Deva is determined to go, despite her parents' concerns about the dangers of the journey and the fact that she is still a child. Nevertheless, Deva courageously begins her journey, unaware of the challenges she will face on her voyage, and the important lessons she will learn along the way.
