Wren plans to have a fun and relaxing Halloween until she is forced to babysit her brother. When he disappears into the night, Wren must team up with her best friend and a couple of nerdy classmates to find him before it's too late. As they search, they begin to discover a strange and mysterious world behind the seemingly normal town and realize that Wren's brother's disappearance is only a small part of a larger conspiracy that they have to unravel to save not just him but also the entire town.
