The film begins with the G.I. Joe team sentenced to death by presidential order after being framed for crimes against the country. Betrayed by their own government, the team must ally with old friends and newfound allies to expose the corrupt figures behind the conspiracy, clear their names, and defeat a new threat rising within the government.
