Rocky Balboa, a retired boxer, must come out of retirement to mentor Adonis Johnson, the son of his late friend and fierce rival, Apollo Creed. When Apollo died in the ring, he left Adonis in Rocky's care and with the raw talent but lacking guidance, Rocky must train him to go the distance against the undefeated champion.
